I also turned off my askbox to avoid unnecessary bullshit. This is really unnecessary but let me say something
Oh wow did you really made a blog just to bitch at us
You didn’t even draw the pictures. If you cleaned and coloured it, good for you.
If you don’t want people to take your pictures…
… DON’T POST THEM.
Also, in a last note:
I beg your pardon? Do you think this is a particularly witty response? “Suck my dick”? The person that sent you that message was courteous about the request, and at no point resorted to the immature, bratty and frankly offensive behavior all of you are displaying.
You clearly keep an eye on Pokedressing if no where else on Livejournal, so let me make this very clear: Icon theft is taken seriously on LJ. Check almost any icon community, and you’ll find crediting their iconing efforts is required for the use of these icons, even if it’s just so other people can find the source. The makers do not profit from making these. They make them because they find it fun or because they prefer to use their own work (be that in coloring or drawing or cleaning), and trying to invalidate their wishes to be the only ones to use their work by saying “LOL IF YOU DON’T WANT OTHER PEOPLE USING IT DON’T UPLOAD IT” is a massive pile of bullshit that I’m appalled to see other human beings use. “Because they don’t want someone else to use it they shouldn’t either” is an idea stupid to degrees I have rarely seen before and makes as much sense to me as telling an author they shouldn’t publish their work if they don’t want to be plagiarized.
I understand that this is tumblr and not Livejournal, but even simply saying no would have been less upsetting than taking the time to act like circlejerking brats and call us ‘fagets’ (excellent spelling skills, might I add), or do what one-eyed-dragon did and tell us to suck up our pride. If I make a good icon, I’m goddamn well going to take pride in it and I don’t think it’s outrageous to request you set up a credit page or what have you to just say “This is where we found these”. (On a side note one-eyed-dragon, I don’t believe the complaint from PD players was about gif use, thank you, and if I misinterpreted your meaning I apologize.)
You’ve all thoroughly convinced me to keep the ever loving fuck away from tumblr rp after this, because it seems to me like the vast majority of you are thoughtless brats with little regard for other people’s feelings in general. I pray I never have to attempt at playing with you on LJ, and good luck on your self-entitled journeys hereafter.
NPR, National Endowment for the Arts, National Endowment for the Humanities, all those kind of frivolous things that government shouldn’t be in the business of funding with tax dollars — those should all be on the chopping block as we talk about the $14 trillion debt that we’re going to hand to our kids and our grandkids. Yes, those are the type of things that for more than one reason need to be cut.
Why isn’t this illegal yet?! Since life begins at conception, abortion is murder as it is the act of taking human life. No civilized society allows someone to intentionally harm or take the life of another human without punishment, and abortion is no different. Adoption is an amazing alternative…
First of all, no. No, don’t you dare go brandishing the adoption flag as a shining, flawless alternative. I can agree that adoption is a good thing because I was adopted. However, do you even stop to think about how very badly it will hurt if I or any other adopted child, found out we were only born because our mothers were unable to have an abortion? I can tell you, for me, if I was told that it would be a punch in the heart.
All children should be wanted. I will not accept that it should be otherwise. If a mother wants to have that fetus full term and give it up for adoption, then that’s her right entirely and I will support that because she wanted to. Having a child can be fatal even if the mother wants it. Let me repeat that. HAVING A BABY CAN BE FATAL EVEN IF THE MOTHER WANTS IT. If it can kill the mother, or leave her with mental difficulties (and I apologize to anyone I offend with my wording there), just take a minute to think on what it can do to someone who didn’t want those risks to start with. Imagine a woman dealing with post pregnancy depression after going through with the birth of a baby that she did not want to begin with to start.
I am asking you to kindly try and look at things though a pro-choice prospective. Life very well might begin at conception, but that life still might be using that woman’s body against her will. Maybe she wants that fetus to be a baby more than anything in the world, but if she carries to term she and that baby will die. It’s not something any woman takes lightly. I have yet to meet or hear of anyone who said “Oh, I’m pregnant. Time to book an abortion!” It is not a decision made lightly. It is thought over and sometimes cried over, and people that criticize them for their choice make me want to scream.
If you’re pro-life, support the life that’s in front of you. Try and comfort the one that can think and feel and grieve and suffer, instead of a cluster of cells that can’t do any of the above.
